The Sack Race 25/26

Enzo Maresca has left his role as Chelsea manager with the club sitting fifth in the Premier League.
The Italian, 45, departs less than six months after winning the Club World Cup at the end of his first season at Stamford Bridge.
"With key objectives still to play for across four competitions including qualification for Champions League football, Enzo and the Club believe a change gives the team the best chance of getting the season back on track," Chelsea said.

Absolute clown show

Thing is, their constant sacking have led to decent success over the years. Remember they lashed Di Matteo not long after a champions league and FA Cup win.

If we still want Delap, hopefully the new fella doesn't rate him.

“Chelsea part ways with Enzo Maresca with immediate effect”

Won championship / promotion with Leicester at first time of asking.
Europa conference league and club World Cup first season.

If he wasn’t pretty nailed on to replace Pep in a year or so, I’d have him

That was the case under Abramovich but has certainly not been since Boehly came in. The fella does not have a clue about football but has a clue about running a Ponzi scheme with another club over in France, which is what they are rather than a serious football club.

Thing is they’ve consistently spent loads and had big enough squads of new managers to form something reasonably successful.
Unlike us under Mosh and our managerial merry go round, despite the spend (significantly less than Chelsea tbf) we never really had a convincing squad beyond 6-7 starters.
