"Should West Ham have kept Moyes? published at 11:28 BST

Once upon a time, in the not-too-distant past, a section of West Ham fans were questioning the effectiveness of David Moyes' style of football, despite a second spell which heralded the club's first trophy in 43 years in winning the Europa Conference League two years ago, along with three qualifications for Europe.

Triumphing against Fiorentina in Prague was not enough to ensure Moyes extended his stay in east London. The club confirmed his departure in May 2024 - hours after reports had surfaced suggesting that former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui had agreed a deal to replace Moyes, who was coming to the end of his current contract.

Moyes has since claimed that an offer of a new deal had been made in December 2023 following a 2-0 win at Arsenal, but it was reportedly withdrawn by the West Ham hierarchy after three heavy defeats in a row the following February.

Perspective, though, is everything in football management.

At the time West Ham confirmed that Moyes would leave the club, they had won once in 10 matches - but the Hammers were still ninth in the Premier League and had made the quarter-finals of the Europa League in a third successive season of European football.

Fast forward to September 2025. West Ham currently sit in the Premier League relegation zone having lost 12 of their 23 games since Graham Potter was appointed in January.

Potter's loss rate of 52% is the highest of any permanent West Ham manager in the Premier League era."

Strange club west ham, the board room is full of vipers and dildo floggers, they got the deal of the century with the stadium and the running costs, yet they hate the stadium because the pitch is miles from the stands, they loved the Boleyn, they've had some mad manager appointments, and some occasional quality players (that were also fruit loops!).
I'll always hold how they treated Bobby Moore against them, but that's eras ago now.

There's some spite on the line west ham vs notts forest now anyhow.

That liquor (parsley sauce) ought to be in a pint pot. And there should be so much sugar in his tea a spoon would stand upright in it.

I'm about as far from a cocker-knee as it's possible to be, so when I encountered a small detail about this dish it blew my mind. --->

---> Chilli vinegar. I never even knew it was a thing. Has anyone consumed it? is it good? how essential is it to pie n mash?
