I dont get all the hysterics about him getting a 2 year contrct? At the end of the day they are meaningless nowadays. If TFG really are waiting on their preferred choice to become available, then Davey boy will get punted into the Mersey as soon as the fancy takes them!
Yup. It’s just a payout guarantee. But I think he’ll do very well.

You would rather “roll the dice” with a man who’s been relegated twice and has a 28% Premier League win ratio than appoint someone with a track record of stabilising struggling football clubs? Weird but ok.
Not really weird IF it was until summer yes but it’s not will be 2 years at least WTF wants Moyes again and I really like him but do me a favour same old Everton absolutely pathetic.

Sacking manager 5 mins into a contract is one of the reasons where in a mess with psr to begin with

The forum is short on the ground with this type of fair minded, considered posting.
The safe appointment is never what anybody wants but it’s what we need. We’ve been a riot since Moyes left.

With the stadium and PSR if we have another ‘progressive type’ like Koeman/Martinez/Silva/Lampard and they fail there’s no guarantee we’d still be around as a club in a few years never mind as an EPL club.

Everyone seems convinced Moyes is a shoe in, but the media say he's not the only candidate, and negotiations are ongoing. If it was that much of a certainty, I'd expect it to have been announced already. I'll cling on to the chance that possibly behind the scenes, something else is at play. If it ends up being Moyes, I'll still be happy it's not Dyche.

I think they had short-term incentive to be happy with him. If he kept us up, he would have bought them time to execute a football plan. But he didn't look like doing that - and they are clearly unprepared.

Moyes now has that role. They'll dump him as soon as they dumped Dyche if he doesn't look like keeping us up. Right now, I would say there isn't even a guarantee that Moyes gets to the end of this season. If it goes that badly wrong, he'll become their next Ivan Juric - sacked within three months.
True. But I wouldn't blame directly him in that case. We've been flirting with the abyss for so long that if it really looks back this time in the end, there are so many other people to blame before Moyes. Personally I think we'll finish 14th.

Except in riots you can have occasionally some fun too.
