I have had this thought also! We are definitely doing some kind of collective Jungian shadow work hereSupporting Everton is definitely a form of eternal punishment for something done in a former life.

Exactly. The contract is win win for both parties; Moyes gets a payout if he leaves before and in the meantime the club gets to promote stability to potential new signings. No manager was taking a 6 month contract in 2025 & in reality it’s irrelevant.
Yup. It’s just a payout guarantee. But I think he’ll do very well.I dont get all the hysterics about him getting a 2 year contrct? At the end of the day they are meaningless nowadays. If TFG really are waiting on their preferred choice to become available, then Davey boy will get punted into the Mersey as soon as the fancy takes them!
Not really weird IF it was until summer yes but it’s not will be 2 years at least WTF wants Moyes again and I really like him but do me a favour same old Everton absolutely pathetic. You would rather “roll the dice” with a man who’s been relegated twice and has a 28% Premier League win ratio than appoint someone with a track record of stabilising struggling football clubs? Weird but ok.
Sacking manager 5 mins into a contract is one of the reasons where in a mess with psr to begin withI dont get all the hysterics about him getting a 2 year contrct? At the end of the day they are meaningless nowadays. How many have we won since he left?Moyes' disgraceful derby record:
25 managed - won 4.
They'll be rubbing their hands over there at Anfield. Always was a derby-day coward.
The safe appointment is never what anybody wants but it’s what we need. We’ve been a riot since Moyes left. The forum is short on the ground with this type of fair minded, considered posting.
True. But I wouldn't blame directly him in that case. We've been flirting with the abyss for so long that if it really looks back this time in the end, there are so many other people to blame before Moyes. Personally I think we'll finish 14th.I think they had short-term incentive to be happy with him. If he kept us up, he would have bought them time to execute a football plan. But he didn't look like doing that - and they are clearly unprepared.
Moyes now has that role. They'll dump him as soon as they dumped Dyche if he doesn't look like keeping us up. Right now, I would say there isn't even a guarantee that Moyes gets to the end of this season. If it goes that badly wrong, he'll become their next Ivan Juric - sacked within three months.

Except in riots you can have occasionally some fun too.The safe appointment is never what anybody wants but it’s what we need. We’ve been a riot since Moyes left.
With the stadium and PSR if we have another ‘progressive type’ like Koeman/Martinez/Silva/Lampard and they fail there’s no guarantee we’d still be around as a club in a few years never mind as an EPL club.
Get copyright on that Dave before it appears on a bedsheet in 2028.Ha Ha Ha.
This feller for years.
You know what you get when you rearrange TFG....GTF.
