Post some submarine pictures Dylan.

Here are two of the submarines that I was stationed on.....

USS Florida (SSBN-728) (Nuclear powered ballistic missile submarine. Some states, 565 feet long, 16500 tons displacement surfaced, 18000 tons displacement submerged) Can dive deeper than 800 feet and exceed 25 knots. Carries (well, carried, it is a cruise missile carrying sub nowadays) 24 Trident C-4 missiles, with several MIRVs (Multiple Independant Re-Entry Vehicle) on each missile)

Advanced SEAL Delivery System (the mini sub riding piggy-back on the USS Greenville in this picture) (65 feet long, powered by lithium-ion batteries. 65 ton dry weight. Range of >100 miles, speed of >10 knots.) I was onboard for this shot. This was off the coast of Oahu...that is Waikiki you can see on the coast. You can also see our support vessel, the C-Commando lingering in the background (the off-yellow/orange ship)

If ANYONE wants to talk 'shop' I will gladly 'yak' away until the cows come home.

2 people drive and it can carry up to 8 SEALs with their combat and scuba gear.

Of course, that is COULD carry.....it is no longer in service. There was an accident while charging the batteries about 2 years after I left and they (the government) decided it was too expensive to repair, so they scrapped the program and are looking to redo it.

Not to mention the cancer from all those batteries plus being on a nuclear submarine. They probably have three heads now.
