We were nothing at 0-0 - they were already in charge from the off
Lucky to not be 2 or 3 down at half-time
Blew it when we had 10 minutes in charge with game in the balance
Disappeared up our own backsides at 3-1.

Honestly, with united coming up... We could easily have had a red or two so that was positive.

Also, I think the ref did a great job all-round today. Not many times you could say that in a derby of recent years.

Being Emotionally checked Out after the latest Derby surrender I actually won't care about the defeat at OT this week. It simply won't hurt at all.

I watched yesterday's game in the company of some Kopites.

And they were sound.

They cheered their team's goals and did not rub it in or gloat after the game.

And we all had a decent afternoon session and some of us went out in town last night.

That to me was a "positive".

I had forgotten that the vast majority of Kopites, the native ones at any rate, are just like us.

Some of these chaps are my cousins and one is my brother's wife.

Lovely, decent people.

It is the out of towners that make them the RS

We tend to lose that sight of that fact in the cloistered community that is GOT and we tar them all with the same brush of obnoxiousness.

My wife's family are reds. Well think I have been to anfield more times than the lot of them. One has been to the last 3 finals and they lost all 3. Serves him right for grabbing a ticket from a "genuine" supporter . Anyway if they get to another final I will make sure he gets a ticket.
