The positives from today

The only positive from today is it was another day I have been alive and got through.

Actually, there are still a few hours to go and now I am feeling pessimistic.

1. The kids will get better
How is that a positive in relation to today?

Baffling.

2. Provided we get their price, neither Rom nor Ross are irreplaceable
Bollox.

3. There will be no doubt in Ron's mind that the defence needs huge reconstructive surgery. He knows a defender
Even the groundsman knew this before the match.

4. We won't always have to play them after a Tsunami of injuries
Except we always do.

5. At nearly47, with a bit of luck I won't have to see dozens more meek capitulation at Anfield
Christ lad.

There were no positives to be taken from today.

None.

Zero.

Zilch.

The manager has very little left to learn if anything about these players.

Clearly in an upper mid table team rom & Ross can't elevate the team above its level.

Hopefully once we have better players & some semblance of a defence they can grow & show there talent during these games.

Simon go home and lie down NOW. Stop it. Just stop it. Save yourself years more of pain. Just accept our uselessness.

we went all in with 4 kids today. Liverpool, not 1. 3 of them I rate highly.

Rom and Ross have no track record of doing it on the Big day. I would love them to stay but again, big day. Mentally weak. Dont cry in your pint.

point 3. I thought we could get away with Joel. that has now been cleared up. Trust Ron and Walsh know that too.

point 4
I remember derbies where we went full strength to the pit and capitulated meekly. That was not the case today re injuries and wont always be like that.

point 5
gallows humour.

we are not as good as thought we were when we luckily beat Hull 4-0.

we are better than we played today.

as they say here "you dont need to buy the newsreader a box of chocolates to tell you something you already know.

we have a Fine mánager, an ambitious owner and some great kids coming through and Money to strengthen.

there have been Derby defeats where I felt like slitting my wrists after. today aint one of them.

Our day will come.

it wont be long either.

Only trying to save you from pain mate. Honestly I've been watching it since 1972 ( the first I remember ) and I've become immune to the disappointment. Hardened to the torture.
I know me too not quite as long mind. We can hope certainly moving in the right direction overall

Not one positive from today, literally nothing
This

2. Provided we get their price, neither Rom nor Ross are irreplaceable

That? = living in a 'kin dream world

The positive for me is that I remain uncontaminated from RS itis. I never watch their games except against us and could never string enough of their players names together to form a team . Avoiding having them in my life gives great calm and peacefullness and I always worry that on derby day, hearing their their players names will somehow enter my consciousness and contaminate me. Strangely yet again it hasn't happened, I could write a summary of each of our players including the subs, but can only remember about 5 names filtering through , Coutinho, Sane, Origi, Milner and the youngster with the initials TAA , who could be very annoying in the future. Ive survived another derby day.

At the beginning of the second half Williams had a cross come shot from a set piece. If it been 6 inches to the keepers left Rom had a tap in.The game would have been 2-2 then a totally different result possibly.

Holgate had a mare and so did Davies they wasn't helped by his teammates tbf.

If Rom had turned up even 25% more than he did we had enough to give them a game.

We were gash and even 1 little thing could have swung the game.

In essence we gave it them as usual and they now believe there own hype even more. Which is a good thing really as we will make more sweeping changes this summer than they will depending on finishing place.

So not all bad imvp opinion.
