Anyone remember the Ravinelle fiasco, when he turned up at GP it was like a scene from the Godfather

Aye but to be fair, if I remember rightly him and his goons did one when he found we weren't going to buy him a house and pay his tax and gas bill etc on top of his wages

I could be wrong but I'm sure it was in the papers in Moyes' first summer of '02 that he wanted Cech but we couldn't work out a fee, so ended up with Richard Wright.

I always thought Scott Parker in 2005 would have been a great signing, had newcastle not blown us away on wages.

When I was playing for Blackpool's academy side around this time, Moyes' son was in our side. Moyes occasionally came down to watch. My dad approached him on the touchline during one game and asked 'if there was one player you could sign who would it be?'
Answer: Scott Parker

first thought, ffs the one that got awayyy

..when I think of the ones that got away, I think more of the ones we actually had on our books . I'm thinking that we had Jags and Baines as youngsters and had to pay big bucks to get 'em back. I'm sure this happens with a lot of clubs, but now Macmanaman is apparently on our radar after letting him go for a bag of crisps years ago.
