Let me know how many of the athletes are juiced then I'll tell you what the better sport is. Olympics is not on par with the world cup, the world cup hosts one event whereas the olympics has how many sports? Even americans think that the world cup is the grand daddy of them all (along with the super bowl).

It was an awesome opening ceremony, apparently it was choreographed by the director of hero and house of flying daggers, 2 excellent films.

If i knew how many "sted heads" then I would not be in the line of work I am right now! And yes, it does go on, but it does in footy to.

The olympics is on a par with the world cup, maybe even better. How many current footballers worldwide and acadamy players dream/dreamt of livin the high life with the wages packets? Quite a high percent i would think.

The olympics does not have that. (well, not as much as football) The thought of representing your nation at any event in the olympics must be amazing. Remember Eric the Eel? Yes...No? Bet you do.

That is what its all about, livin the dream. Not the high life!

I just believe that football not only offers world class athletes showcasing skill, speed, power, endurance etc. it also offers a completely different atmosphere at games, pubs etc. As for the wages comment, there is a reason as to why they get paid as highly as they do and that is because footy is the greatest sport on the planet and people are willing to pay, and investors are willing to invest in this sport. As for representing your nation at a worldwide event, thats exactly what the world cup is. Dont diss people for making bags of cash doing what they love and what you would do in their same situation. That being said I take nothing away from olympians because they are all unbelievable athletes and nothing but respect should be shown for them.(unless they are pricks or on the juice)
