I'll put my Neutral Hat on here and score the Olympics and see where it rates in the Scheme of things since I started watching in '88.

OC - Opening Ceremony
INF - The Infrastructure Built to Accommodate Games
ATH - The Legendary'ness of the Competitors
RE - The Results
BZ - The Worldwide Buzz Generated
CS - The Closing Ceremony

Seoul 1988 - OC 7 - INF 7 - ATH 8 - RE 8 - BZ 10 - CS 8 TOTAL = 48/60
Barcelona 1992 - OC 5 - INF 5 - ATH 7 - RE 6 - BZ 8 - CS 7 TOTAL = 38/60
Atlanta 1996 - OC 8 - INF 5 - ATH 7 - RE 7 - BZ 6 - CS 6 TOTAL = 39/60
Sydney 2000 - OC 9 - INF 10 - ATH 9 - RE 9 - BZ 10 - CS 7 TOTAL = 54/60
Athens 2004 - OC 5 - INF 5 - ATH 8 - RE 7 - BZ 5 - CS 5 TOTAL = 35/60
Beijing 2008 - OC 10 - INF 10 - ATH 8 - RE 8 - BZ 10 - CS 6 TOTAL = 52/60
London 2012- OC 8 - INF 6 - ATH 7 - RE 9 - BZ 8 - CS 7 TOTAL = 45/60

So, all in all, the Games of 2012 have been good to watch, the Fourth best since the Olympics became boss in '88.

Atlanta 1996: you gave the opening ceremonies an 8?? You don't remember the parade of high school cheerleaders and pickup trucks do you? Or how about the fireworks shooting out of a Coke Bottle? There is no way Atlanta was better than Greece, in fact it would take a ton of effort to make an Olympics as bad as Atlanta's. Even Munich is considered to be a better Olympics. Atlanta even managed to make a worse mascot than London did.

Atlanta 96: OC 1 - just go over to youtube and watch the horribleness.

INF: -476 the Georgia Dome is a piece of s---, horrible traffic, having one of the worst public transportation systems in the country and yet not taking to account that there would be I don't know people actually going to the games. The most crowded airport in the world. An Olympic stadium that has all the charm of an 8 lane highway. Plus the Barves playing across the street from most venues causing even more traffic.

ATH 3: Let's see, Kerri Sturg nonsense that NBC and Nike tried to spread saying that Michael Johnson was really the fastest man in the world. Amy Van Dyken was an a-hole, accusing others while making sweet love with BALCO. Dominque Dawes and Shannon Miller were likable but after

Results 4: the only real saving grace was the football tourney.

Buzz 1: Unless you consider that any publicity is good publicity then there was no buzz. Whats most remembered about these games are Richard Jewell, the FBI bumbling, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution out Murdoching Murdoch, and that douchbag Army of God bomber Eric Rudolf. Oh and lets not forget about the traffic, venues etc.

Closing Ceremony 10: the games are over -- the only real reason to celebrate.

I loved Atlanta. Mainly because I was only 10 and it was my first real Olympics experience.

Beijing the worst Olympics for me.
