In all seriousness like they're both so impressive. It's rare to have athletes so consistently brilliant, but to have two in the same family -- not even distant family; as siblings -- is crazy.

Is the hardness the swelling of your bank account. Cos I made a small fortune on Wimbledon. Oh yes yes yes.

Oh of course, what they've achieved isn't the product of just talent. But nothing is at that level.

I worry to be honest how I'll feel about football this year. I've just found so much respect and admiration for the athletes at the Olympics that going back to watching the egotistical, overpaid, arrogant, disrespectful little blerts that plague our league might result in a lot of lost interest.

Seoul. Yes.
Barca. Yes.
Atlanta. No.
Sydney. Yes.
Athens, in between.
Beijing. Yes.
London. Hell yes!

What we're watching here is human beings at the very peak of physical fitness, sacrificing everything and pushing themselves to the absolute limit not for money, but for the honour and pride of being named as the best in the world at their chosen discipline.

Spot on, although you have proved yourself a certain type to me, I thought the same thing. I will try to watch as much and enjoy and appreciate the papalympics as I have this first run. I fully expect to be in even more tears at the even more mazing stories of overcoming adversity and sacrifice than the already overwhelming games so far.

Leon Knight went on twitter calling his missus Danielle Llyod this and that about her alleged sexual activity with other pros, just a public bashing, was a disgrace and Leon Knight came off as a nobhead prima donna

It was a lot more racist (from what I read) than that. And Leon Knight (if it was him) should face arrest and charge.

That was pretty darn impressive last night. Never thought I'd see the day when the British team won all of the track & field medals on offer in an evening. The team really do seem inspired at the moment.

On another note, I had to titter when I read just now that the American girl who thrashed Addlington in the 800 free is facing the same accusations that the Chinese girl faced from the American coach. Apparently her rate of improvement was even starker than the Chinese girl the coach had said must be doping.

And the specter of drugs is very sad. I want to believe Bolt is clean, it is now taken as law he is, but then his event is blue ribband. As sad as drugs, politics is played with the sports, but then, the games came from militaristic achievement anyway.
I'd say horses for courses. But 99.9% of courses are in the main courses of performance enhancers. What option is there?

Disappointing in the Long Jump for Australia. Watt was one of our strong gold medal chances. Didn't perform well on the night and Rutherford did. That's sport!

Couldn't believe they held up the Long Jump for the start of the 10,000m. Did they realise a British athlete was winning/jumping at the time?
