Bet the USA coach doesn't suggest that his 15yr old swimmers blistering pace and winning margin was "disturbing"

one of the first things the tories reversed when they got in

In the States mate, it's all free, the kids learn at an early age to swim. Granted they have more outdoor pools and have in the most part a better climate for that, but honestly, if they kept up with that commitment to allow us to have free swimming in this country, I know I would swim all the time, I imagine every one would, and how much fitter and stronger would we all be?

Britains are just useless at swimming. System doesn't help, seems very difficult to progress beyond amateur level unless you're fantastic at a young age and get the opportunity to get sponsored to do it through school. Having said that, mate of mine almost made it to the olympics. He's just a freak though

Isn't it something stupid like less than 6 50m pools?? No surprise really we're gash at swimming

Knew someone who was a mental swimmer as a kid. So good it was scary. He stopped growing though, must be 5'7. Top class swimmers are almost all giants.

The policy Labour brought in was for u16's I think, got reversed straight away by them right wing blerts, the problem now is will the sport be cut even further funding wise by a poor performance.

I'm sure it was free swimming for all wasn't it? Either way, is terrible it got cut. I used to swim a bit when I was younger, and I remember it costing 50p to swim for however long you wanted.

I went swimming again a year or 2 ago and it was £6 odd for a swim for 2 hours, absolute joke
