Haha because I used the name Paddy? Just a name- like dave but not as miserable.

Fancy us to get a few more golds- swimming finals tomorrow and the rowing. Do they count dave?

Not if they're middle class people, no.

I actually think you're being serious. The other day it was middle class sports now its whether they are middle class people.

Maybe someone should go and do a family tree of all the medal winners to see if they pass the dave test of whether they count or not.

That shooting gold medal today: the lad who won it was living the life of opulence in Al Makthoum's court in Dubai.

Nice to hear of these rags to riches stories in the Olympics.

Bauge is a monster but Hinds did him on the first lap. Kenny was outstanding on the 2nd lap too. Really looking forward to Kenny against Bauge in the sprint now. Didn't fancy him before but he looked really good today. Much the same with Pendleton, she looked a bit flaky at the Worlds, but was outstanding today.

The team pursuit looks a walk in the park. Geraint Thomas is a serious bike rider. He'll be better than Wiggins I think, and will win many classics during his career. Can't wait to see him have a go at Paris Roubaix next spring.

Your just like my uncle, Bruce, he really likes cycling as well. He is cycling round the alps as we speak.

Went to watch the cycling at the velodrome a couple of years ago, was ace.

Chris Hoy is a monster for a thirty six year old.

It all sounds a bit bitter, who cares if Bruce Wayne works in the city and earns his £70k salary and davek works in a place where he carves smaller stones out of bigger stones and earns £1.37 per hour.

Is that £70k a week Mick?

Is this the best ever era for British cycling, all things considered?

 By a country mile.

The mountains are the best place in the world. Nothing better than riding up a real belter. Just you and nature, an incredible view, sense of accomplishment etc. I recommend it to everyone. Going out there myself in three weeks. Can't wait.
