Trout for me today.

…Trout is a great shout. I only like fresh fish, get some delivered each month and treat the kids and grandkids to their supply of salmon and cod. Went to Costco yesterday and got a pack of salmon, their fresh fish is really decent.

I’ll be getting a couple of trout off my fish man next month

I don't know if trout was ever in fashion, but it doesn't seen to be nowadays. Don't know why, it's very tasty.

….yep, I love trout. It was in my mind to get this month but will certainly do so next time.

Remember those little biscuits with icing on them ? I'm sure they had some figures or pictures over on ; also there were bags of tiny little swirly biscuits with icing on - iced gems ?

I have fish every friday as well, just as my parents used to (its the law isn't it?). I buy fresh fish from the back of a van in the Halfway House car park on a friday. The same firm has the fish stall at Widnes indoor market. The family that run it are from Fleetwood and drive down every day they are open.

…used to be so many local fish shops but sadly gone now, much nicer than supermarket stuff.

I been for my fish and chips, A chip shop near me has a seating area with waitress service so sat in to eat, chips, Tinned roe, curry sauce and a pot of tea for £6.50

The biscuits with the pictures were Playbox. Different colours and white figures on them. Beautiful.

Very similar, there was a little bakery near where I grew up who made them.
