I don't know if trout was ever in fashion, but it doesn't seen to be nowadays. Don't know why, it's very tasty.…Trout is a great shout. I only like fresh fish, get some delivered each month and treat the kids and grandkids to their supply of salmon and cod. Went to Costco yesterday and got a pack of salmon, their fresh fish is really decent.

I have fish every friday as well, just as my parents used to (its the law isn't it?). I buy fresh fish from the back of a van in the Halfway House car park on a friday. The same firm has the fish stall at Widnes indoor market. The family that run it are from Fleetwood and drive down every day they are open.
Never had trout. The word always makes me laugh tho, seems so old fashioned.

The biscuits with the pictures were Playbox. Different colours and white figures on them. Beautiful.
Very similar, there was a little bakery near where I grew up who made them.
