Yes with a Cuban heel,then the follow up fashion of chisel toe followed the almond toe.
Thought the diamond toe was a bit stupid.
I remember back in the 60s our local copper (yes we had bobbies on the beat in them days) stopped a teenager and jokingly asked "do your toes go to the end of them shoes?"
The lad said "No! Does your head go to the top of that hat?"

Remember going to see Father Christmas in Blacklers as a child & having photo taken with a gift called 'Post Office' on my lap.

My dad loved it. Saw it and bought some a few years ago in Morrisons, was ok but the texture was a bit odd.
….definitely, it was so famous. I have in mind they also had a huge rocking horse but might have that wrong. Last time I went it was a Wetherspoons;
