The theme music from Jimmy Young's programme on Radio 2 - haven't heard this in years.
….my Mum was famous for her trifles, think they contained a bit of sherry. Totally wasted on me, never been one for cakes and sweets even as a kid;

Not for me. I think it was the stale cake that was often used. Oh and tinned mixed fruit in the jelly ...
Remember those cake fingers you could buy to put in the bottom of the trifle? I hate tinned mix fruit too, I usually use a tin of peaches
Oohh would love this for my 70's room, if only I could drive, bargin at £40

I remember my father renting a black & White tv - which you insert 2 bob = 10 pence in it - he got 50% & of the money back when they came to empty the box at the back - always breaking down as the box got full -
Nothing but a nuisance - plus do you remember indoor Ariels - what a farce they where used to have them hanging up by the curtains
