The phrase “ getting messages “ is used all the time in Scotland. This came up on a GOT thread a year or more ago, I was surprised at the number of areas people said it was used in, I hadn’t come across it before I moved to Scotland.Is that a Dublin phrase - going for messages or getting messages.
