Wish we could mate at daughters looking after granddaughter while our daughter is at whiston A&E since 4 this afternoon.

Hope it's not serious ; the waiting times are beyond ridiculous, but hopefully will change in the coming years.

And 8 hours is on the lower end of the scale, shocking how this has been allowed, but we all know who to blame.

I was waiting 45 mins at the GPs for a scheduled appointment yesterday. During that time the receptionist answered the phone several times. Each time, bar one, she could answer none of the enquiries, she only offered a different phone number to call or the advice to "go to the hospital" ...

Biggest reason I stay in Spain. The health service here is streets ahead. I'd love to come back to the UK for the Summers but for some of the NHS horror stories. Read about people on the phone at 8am on hold for half an hour then if they're lucky getting an appointment for ten days later. I've got an app on my phone. I just look at the availabe appointments,pick the day I want and the time.Never longer than 3 days.
