When I was a youngster, I learned how to use the timer to record movies in the middle of night without telling my folks.

So many PG-18 movies and naughty films! Probably the reason why I'm so messed up today... 🤣

The experts reckoned that Betamax was far better quality than VHS.

As VHS was cheaper it quickly gained the ascendancy and it was difficult to purchase Betamax tapes.

Good in the mid 1980's, when EFC was the gear, recording matches to watch at your leisure.

Following a factory closure in 1980 I was made redundant along with hundereds of others.
It was amazing just how many 'would be entrepreneurs' invested their redundancy money in buying second hand transit vans and setting up 'mobile video libraries'

This time next year we'll be millionaires Rodney lol

Had the original to this along with a couple of other early Beatles albums they had belonged to my Mom. In the 90's.I replaced my vinyl with CD's and took about 50 albums to a second handbook/record shop. He gave me a fiver for the lot!!
