The Obvious Problem Areas

Issue is with the centre midfielders and the centre backs imo

Don't get the calls to chop and change the forward line. We've got real quality in wide areas and we've got what we've got up front, just got to work with it.

Same goes for full backs, can say that it's the issue but until January/next Summer can't do anything about it

Centre halves and centre midfield can be looked at. Preventing us from progressing up the pitch in phases and we are super open. Moyes needs to experiment with personnel to find the right balance

Needs to enforce some big changes and take a chance on Saturday. neither Beto, nor Barry are good enough so just go with ndiaye as a false 9 for gods sake.

In the entirety of the club, including u21, and u18 we have 5 strikers

Barry
Beto
George (u21)
Loney (u18)
Ray Robert (u18)

That is absoloutly criminal, an i suspect a large portion of the members here have never seen, never mind heard of the u21, or u18 lads because they are left to rot in the youth sides, you look at teams like RS or UTD who routinely have youth players popping in getting minutes because they have a bigger squad and can rotate these lads into the side and get minutes, we're still playing 78 year gana keeping lads like Rohl out the side.

It's infuriating

We have wingers on the right like Ndiaye and Dibling that like to invert and a winger on the left in Grealish that does best when linking up with players inside or on the overlap. For some reason we have seen that and chosen to persist with two full backs that are atrocious at attacking and providing that width and link-up play. It honestly stagnates so much of our creative outlet and expression and means we rely on Ndiaye and Grealish to do too much. That also plays into how our strikers become isolated and rely on minimal chances to score or wanting Alcaraz to play for those through balls. We desperately need more attacking impotus from fullback to help us.

Its a real shame that Alcaraz got caught in 2 minds and didn't square it to Beto, who would have hopefully tucked it away (yeah i know, no guarantees there).
But it would have highlighted the usefulness of a direct running no.10 to give the strikers other options instead of only getting on the end of crosses.
Im convinced that Alcaraz given the no.10 slot would bring far more chances for the strikers.

What’s been startling to me is we instantly look better with Iroegbunam in the side every time.

It highlights the clear lack of physicality in the side because I don’t really rate Tim tbh, he’s hit and miss. Gana, Garner, KDH is feeble though physically.
Well yes, I wonder why the side seems more familiar with the big 6'4" midfielder giving it legs around the middle of the field. :/

Bad strikers
Bad full backs
Branthwaite badly injured
Tarkowski in bad form due to continued bad injury
Predictable bad tactics
Predictable bad selections
Poor in game management resulting in bad subs
A lack of pace in the team badly slow
Pedestrian build up play same again 'badly slow'
A lack of clean sheets bad defending
A lack of goals bad scoring

Those are the problem areas...

Tim is only 6 foot.

To be honest I think it just highlights how poor we are physically. I don’t think we have one player on our books who I’d consider ‘quick’.

Maybe Rohl but it’s too early doors.

Tim’s an athletic lad who puts himself about, he’s by no means Onana size. He puts the rest of our starters to shame though in that regard (he lacks a lot in other areas, this is where we need some balance).

Dunno why people keep saying this, it was Gana who was alongside him.

Theres your problem.

"If it aint broke dont fix it", is usually the case, but in our case its "if its broken, still dont fix it".

Persisting with Mykolenko, who completely hinders Grealish game is a waste of the wages were spunking on him.

Dewsbury Hall is not a 10, hes clearly most effective as a 6.

O'Brien as a full back, had its day, retire it. Play Garner there until theres a replacement.

Pick Barry or Pick Beto... stop this changing straight into second half. Nurture your strikers, build their confidence. Found a good combo with Beto, Alcaraz... this season, he doesnt bother

Same dour tactics every week. Teams are onto us, we arr slow to build up, we pass it arpund and then hoof it... is this really any better than Dyche?

How can the young lads settle into the team if they dont get minutes? If Dyche had brought on McNeil over Dibling last night there would have been outrage.
Instead of RINSE & REPEAT - from DM - its not hard for any opposition manager to suss out his teams .....
