The Now-Irrelevant 2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

Was he even flavour of the month? He was a very peculiar appointment.
He’d managed okay in Holland (won a cup ) and based on rep alone, he got the interim Man Utd job, where he actually beat Leicester at old Trafford. He was given the Leicester job 2 weeks later I think. He was being touted at the time as the next big thing by the sky lovies. Absolutely shocking appointment by Leicester given their situation at that time, deserve all they get.

as much as dyche might have kept us up, it would have been absolutely miserable , we would likely be limping across the line to bramley moore and there wouldnt be the optimism there is currently

the game against ipswich would likely still be a must not lose game

the likes of Brainthwaite would almost certainly be off in the summer

Jake O’Brien wouldn’t have played a game yet and might have been sold or loaned out

Ashley Barnes or someone of that ilk would have been brought in for a fee when DCL got injured, rather than giving Beto a chance

N’Diaye would still be camped on the edge of his own box rather than showing us just how good he is

Pretty much all of the good moments and last ditch winners or equalisers we’ve had wouldnt have happened

it would have been absolutely desperate

we all would likely have had a much easier time buying tickets though

I’d take that James Justin for his versatility ,IF at a minimal cost. Think he would be a decent enough squad filler given the overhaul we are likely to need. Not been at his best this season but he has enough about him to boost a minimal squad.

Not for me, never been the same since he did his ACL the end of 21/22. Similar to Godfrey here.

Back to Burnley/Sheffield United, Jags is actually one of the pundits according to the paper on that game so well worth tuning in.

Was thinking about this and us saving money but still staying up, BUT we couldn't have him being manager in last season at goodison
