I'm a little surprised to see Timmy C not on the list. He's a legend now, but how much more does he have left in the tank? We can still cash him in for a pretty penny.

Not that I want to see him go...I'm just sayin'...

I think I got this way from when I was in Good Will Hunting. Maths and numbers are just that to me now.

I'll put it a simpler way.

Everton = good position this summer, better position with Europe

Aston Villa = fcked, and will be flogging to pay off last summers spends and get the cost of next season down

See , I WAS GONNA SAY THAT !!!

But yes , even my mono-syllabic brain can just about grasp the concept , Matt'

When he goes , it will be home to Aus' , an' the McB thing . Not before .

I shall carry his fukn bags , if he should so wish .
An' I shall cry .
A lot .

The reason that I have not posted in your , " Loads of dead hard sums , .. " Thread , is , despite my last job being a National Insurance Claims Manager , I am , primarily , a man of letters , not fukn numbers !!!
Just so's you know .

Hey, i just realised, that i'm excited about next season again. i really am, after all that despondancy the other night.

Am just posting it here because it's the thread I was looking at when I realised :P

He is not a kind of player who we can get a big money for. Probably on Yobo level regarding transfer fee.

ive been thinking about this and i dont see much room for us to be able to sell players tbh.

so its a case of looking at the positions and the cover.who is surplus ?

rb - coleman or hibbert ?
st - anichebe or vaughan ?
mid- osman or gosling ?

i think any of those 6 going will have a mixed reception.

then i looked at the elder statesman with sell on value....nev , cahill ,yobo , saha , i would only sell any of these if the offer was too good to turn down.

then theres the players who's form has been 'inconsistant' this season (despite the reasons) yak ,yobo , bily ........ i wouldnt like to sell any of these, although 12 million for yak i would consider , i think we can do some good business with that sort of money (transfer fee + wages saved) and get 1 or 2 replacement strikers.

howard jags arteta pienaar fellaini heitinga baines rodwell , i wouldnt sell any of these players regardless of the need for money or the price offered.

moyes clearly has some very hard decisions to make.

Moyes isn't selling anybody unless they want to go. Of all the players I think Fellani, Peanut, Anichebe, Yobo, and Rodwell would be the ones interested in leaving.

There are some German teams that have been interested in Anichebe. With the state of their midfield Rodwell could start on Man Utd so I'm expecting a big bid on the guy. That being said I think Moyes and Sir Alex have a good relationship and you won't see Sir Alex trying to tap him up.

I think Fellani has ambitions to play for a big money team, his injury maybe the only think keeping him here next year.

Yobo just isn't getting PT and could start on alot of prem teams. He would be a nice bargain buy for someone like a Wigan or Fulham.

Spain still has the Beckham rule which may temp Peanut with his lawsuit and everything. There are also little taxes in Russia too. If Pennant could make the equivalent of what would be 80K/week at Espanyol then I could how Peanut would be temped to leave. Though I think we are lucky that the WC is coming up. I can't see him playing in the tourney w/o a contract.

Whatever happens I trust Moyes. If Pinnear goes then we could get Landon. If Fellani goes (and if RM is interested we could hold out for Xabi Alonso money), Arteta fills in and we buy a few good players. Also Billy gets a chance to prove himself. Rodwell would give us oppurtunites to buy a big money striker as well.
