Thank **** for that lcab, Still Jags is a strange one. Still not back to full speed after his injury and was [Poor language removed] hot before he got injured
 

I told chicomelt 6months ago that SuntanBob told my mate we have no cash for transfers in Jan or the Summer and if anybody offers cash, money for young Jack hes gone.

And here we are.
 
I'm not sure selling vic, vaughan and yobo will be enough to finance any big fish, but I'm glad we're exploring this option. It's our only way forward.

I totally agree. Use the Aston Villa 50% cost increase as a comparison and debt increase by 20% £85m (25% for non accounted debts, £100m total) and wage:turnover 82%.

Everton debt increase 3.1%, £37.9m (and even that is arguable as an increase as was quoted as £40m elsewhere), wage:turnover 62%...

i.e. some clubs NEED to sell to pay off debt/cut costs, but Everton aren't in that category if any incoming players fees/contracts are cost managed *

* balancing act to be struck between our revenues now and predicted for next season and this.



Everton have the choice sell to buy if they want or not and to use funds to reinvest on replacements. Its not a cost cutting exercise like Villa.

Key point. And assumes the replacements are the players Moyes wants for the right fees and if Moyes actually wants to sell.


All IN-ADDITION to players we're bringing in for free or cheaply anyway (Mucha, J. Silva, Beckford).

I think I got this way from when I was in Good Will Hunting. Maths and numbers are just that to me now.

I'll put it a simpler way.

Everton = good position this summer, better position with Europe

Aston Villa = fcked, and will be flogging to pay off last summers spends and get the cost of next season down
