Current Affairs The next Tory (strong and stable) leader is Boris Johnson

Anybody who voted for Boris Johnson to be PM should apologise to the country. Yes Covid was something that anybody would have found difficult to deal with, but by Christ, there is no worse human on the earth than this absolute waste of flesh and liquid. Had nothing but his own legacy in mind with even wanting the job. Many MP's of all political spectrums talk about wanting to be in politics to make a difference, and some you believe. Not this chump though. If you couldn't spot his incapacity to make decisions, his incapability to achieve, his ongoing failing relationship with the truth and many, many other character flaws, then you are either blind, or complicit.

Absolutely the worst of people, for the worst of times.

If it was still legal to be hung drawn and quartered, I'd buy a raffle ticket to tie his rope.

His stint in leadership was nothing more than a bright light shining on the selfishness that has taken hold within this country, and caused a lot of maggots to come out of the woodwork. Safety in numbers. The staggering levels of self interest and dissociation of social cohesion is what will destroy this once great country. The relentless pursuit of pleasing those with money, before those with morals is an absolute stain on the entire country and it has never been more highlighted than with the voting in of this Charlatan. I'm glad he's gone, I wish he'd never be seen again.

Rumours abound the Tories are looking to dispatch Sunak before election. Just as well we don't have inquiry happening and a former PM yearning thus rehabilitate continue his legacy. This is Britain 2023...

Can’t believe he’s been stabbed in the back by his own phone.

If he survives this with any kind of political career we should all just pack up shop and embrace the maelstrom that comes with it. We are already in the gutter after the 13 years we have had to deal with. If this government and the people that have been complicit in supporting it get another chance then there is no f****** point.

……fighting for his legacy these next two days. Arrived at the enquiry 3 hours early, apparently he’s very well prepared.

He’ll be under oath but I can see him trying to dodge bullets. I’d love him to dish the dirt on those who are dishing the dirt on him but I suspect it could all be a damp squib. He’ll want to come out of there hoping his Government doesn’t look the shambles it clearly was.

….apparently got there early to avoid the protests from bereaved families.

Man is a coward.

Hope the KC is on form.

Very Trumpian....

Team Boris have apparently helped to provide newspapers with a string of favourable stories before his appearance.

While briefings are within the rules, this is not the case if they rely on any materials provided to the inquiry, including witness statements. Heather Hallett, the chair of the inquiry, explicitly warned against briefing out details of witness statements in October.

Allies of Boris insist he has not done this and that apparent direct quotes from his witness statement appearing in one report must have been leaked from another source.

If Lady Hallett sees things a different way, an already uncomfortable 48 hours for Boris being questioned by Hugo Keith KC, the inquiry counsel, could begin with a direct reprimand.

Labour need to be fully supported. This lot will find 100 ways to divide society and turn heads.
