Let the elderly catch covid and accept their fate apparently.

@peteblue your thoughts on Johnson's reported focus on the economy over a demographic who backed him on Brexit?
Have a like, pete's been better recently, so let's throw him a bone, @Tree13 & that scurrilous ballsack @Mr. White come on down, the price is erm... well not very right is it.

Why insult me from the off? Quite unnecessary... whatever happened to politely asking me for my opinion?

These public inquiries are generally akin to Kangaroo Courts... led by condescending nobodies who have the benefit of hindsight, and bully those who did not...

My heartfelt apologies. A needless low blow, I shall amend my ways.

hang on a second, a little rich don't you think... 'from the off'!

most of them voted remain…..seriously though Boris‘ view was remarkably similar to that adopted by Sweden, then got talked out of it by professor lockdown, civil servants and other assorted experts. So who was right the U.K. or Sweden ?……

You're dodging the question my friend. You know he was willing to let you and yours die potentially.

Genuinely unpleasant man.

It's interesting that you seem to be of the view that acceptable losses due to covid would be ok, in the same vein that acceptable losses due to bombing Gaza would be ok to defeat Hamas. Either you're not thinking about what you're saying, or you're a very cold hearted man Pete.

Pragmatic for the greater good…..

Certainly, and without a moments hesitation for the good of my children and grandchildren….
But Pete all they had to do was stay home, they weren't going out to fight 😂 It really wasn't a hard thing to sell. Other countries around the world did it successfully, such as Australia and New Zealand, because they were well led and had a desire to work together. Boris failed utterly to bring the country together through constant changes to plan, missdirection, not playing by his own rules and being happy to have a body count to stay in government.

A first for everything, lets not get used to it. ;)

As an aside, my wife is currently reading a book. We have thousands and thousands of books in our house, my wife being an avid reader who has (had) a near photographic memory and could devour a book in an evening. However she hasn’t read one properly since her Alzheimer’s diagnosis, she has tried but always stopped. Tonight while I have been posting in here she has literally had her nose stuck in one and I intend to sit around for as long as it takes while she gets through it…..you have been warned…..
