Honestly to release that now rather than at any of the several hundred points previous to this where it might have made a difference in terms of saving lives, preventing all the damage that Johnson has done and all the rest sickens me.
Do we know how long the Sunday Times have had it? I read it as - they got the story, first publication point was tomorrow, Sunak and Javid got wind of it - resignations went in.

With his voters it would have made zero difference and sadly it might have even helped him a little bit

according to Pogrund, they had this in April but didn't have the OK from the source to publish it until this week

obviously that relies on believing the word of an employee of a Murdoch paper

Doubt it - they see him as a lothario, whereas those edited clips suggest a whiny toad of a man who couldn't help his "friend" after she slept with him.

One also notes the role Kit Malthouse played in all this, which might go some way to explain why such a man without any obvious talent has become an MP, then a minister.

This is it. The ultra "Boris" supporters I have found on the doorstep when out canvassing have either been your ultra Tory type who love him "because he's a winner and unashamedly Tory" and the working class (mainly but not always men) who think he's an anti-politician and his lies and scrapes are somehow "makes him one of us, getting one over on them". It's sad and defies belief but that's my experience of two elections now.

Always thought we’d start to see a steady leak of misdemeanours once he’d gone. Expect more to come and watch all the Tory MPs feign outrage.

Nothing proves how urgently we need to get rid of the corrupt shower who infest the top of government and the media than this.

Tens of thousands dying unnecessarily from a pandemic, tens of billions wasted, political conventions trashed, corruption widespread, the military cut when we are facing a threat and rows started with allies and friends and they sit on all of that sh*t until he quits. The people who knew and said nothing are unforgiveable.
