Curious that it’s looking more and more like No. 10 pressured the Times to drop this story about Carrie. The fact they haven’t issued any retraction suggests to me that it’s likely true (or at least has some validity) and the author of the article has defended it when speaking to other news outlets.

Yet another pathetic scandal for Boris, and if it turns out the Times caved to pressure massively damaging to the Times as well

It looks like it was through an injunction via Boris Johnson rather than the Times caving. Without the injunction I can't believe papers like the Guardian would not have picked up on it.

The Guardian did pick up on it, after the fact (which proves there was no injunction).

That it wasn't reported before now was probably down to the small circle of people who could confirm it (Ashcroft to put it out initially and then the people to stand it up) - its all an internal Tory rat thing, so the circle of hacks that could write that story would consist of those who have the access to / trust of those people but also hacks who CBA about any future government post or their personal relationship with the PM.

That reduces the number of potential hacks to a very small number, probably countable on one hand.

That's the Met not fining him for that other party he attended, cover up and now the Times, burying this story. Well rest assured folks, that pillar of society, defender of the faithful, that Sword of Justice, Peteblue will demand retribution,as to why this was not Labour's and Sir Kier Starmers fault....
