I hate what politics has become in this country.

They're using the Ukraine situation to get the PM off the hook.

As if the bombed out Ukrainians would appreciate this gesture.

TBF it puts a story in the Mail about 10 days ago (where they claimed the UK was pressing the US and EU to be stronger in their support for Ukraine, around the time the Istanbul talks seemed to be going somewhere) in a new light.

Talking with a keen Labour supporting mate tonight. He was absolutely scathing over Starmer going on about partygate and demanding Boris resigns over a glass of wine while Putin is killing thousands and Ukraine was so dependent upon support from Boris……

Admittedly, any normal person in general conversation would take that as the answer, however these aren't normal people using normal, everyday language.

"Will the Chancellor, categorically deny in the house that he... attended any of the Downing St. Christmas parties on the 27th November or 18th December?"

His response was, "No, I did not attend any parties." He'd argue his response was attending any of the aforementioned parties - that's how they work.

I could tell you a true story of when in court it was argued that four was/is not a number.
