What is insane is a phone call to Putin regarding Ukraine had to be cancelled because Boris had to be in Parliament giving the same answer to the same question for a couple of hours about a cake.…..
I think the cake might have been from Putin. There was icing powder on the top.
Unless........

What's insane is that Johnson shat the bed so badly he even needed to be in Parliament for that embarrassing circus.

Jimmy Savile, accusing the opposition front bench of being on drugs, even his own MPs saying he'd taken them for fools.

A jokes a joke, Pete, and I know you like to play the contrarian and have a wind up, but that the Tory Party hasn't put an end to this two-bit Punch and Judy show is really unhealthy for the country you profess to love so much.

It's really extraordinary that we have this person as PM and that otherwise sane Tories are engaged in an uncomfortable game of Twister trying to find excuses for him.
Be there until the local elections and if its poor he is gone unless in the meantime ongoing police investigation uncovers a little more than just lock down drinks.

Indeed, he will get away with it. And tbh, other than Labour supporters and Boris haters, no one cares about eating cake or having a drink at the end of a long day. Have a go at the Civil Servants who did all this by all means, but remember No10 was a closed bubble of hardworking people who did not wfh, and sometimes they needed to relax. I can quote you numerous examples of similar events, even Starmer, and within my own locality. People worked hard for our benefit, and then they had a drink and this happened tens of thousands of times across the whole country. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone…oh no that was Starmer and he wasn’t without sin……
I can tell you now that neither me nor Mrs CT went and had drinks or socialised throughout lockdown and at the time we were both key workers doing much longer hours than normal. Mrs CT certainly wouldn't have been up for drinks and socialising having spent 14 hours nursing people in their death throes hallucinating and screaming while online gobshites spouted that it was just a touch of flu.

You can accuse plenty of others of doing so and no doubt they did but those who hold the highest office in the land, make laws and appear on TV and other media outlets to dictate restrictions on our freedoms should hold themselves to the highest standard. If they can't or won't meet those standards then they are not fit for that office.
