well that might explain the Met investigation:

Well bloody hell. IF that is true, how anybody could defend him, or allow him to continue is mindboggling.

I wonder if Starmer may press for a vote of no confidence in the government.
It might force the Tories hand. Likely it would get voted down. But all those who want to stick the knife in, it will give them an opportunity.
Could be one way for them to get rid of him.

Would Starmer be better off leaving the idiot in charge ?

Everyday he is PM he is dragging the Tories further down in the eyes of the electorate.

This is true, but morally how can you let someone ruin the country like Johnson is.
This is it for me.
All well and good saying let him hang on. But at what cost. In 3 years, he has took us out if Europe, blundered his way through a pandemic, seen his mates get richer and probably himself, lied to parliament, broke his own laws and guidelines, overseen a crippling inflation rate, gas nearly double in price, wages not keeping up, alienating the NHS staff with a 1% offer, tax rises, getting to be impossible for young ones to get on the property ladder, plus I am sure a ton more.
The damage done is considerable and could get worse.
At what.point dies.an opposition.leader say, wellaybe we need to discuss this and see what we can do.

Doesn‘t really matter now. The Met will do their bit, fines may be issued to a few individuals, without their names being released, there will not be a vote of no confidence nor a leadership challenge, the polls will change and Putin will overshadow any other news. In spite of everything thrown at him, Boris will escape and life will move on…..

If he takes all the blame when he appears in the Commons he will probably survive. If he obfuscates and sacrifices SPADs and civil servants (again) I think he will be facing a leadership challenge by this evening.

You think that if he gets personally charged it won’t be announced or at the very least get leaked?
