Current Affairs The next Tory (strong and stable) leader is Boris Johnson

If he survives this then he’s bulletproof and they might as well shut parliament down, the country will just have become a dictatorship.

That this is what brings him down - rather than the tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths, the colossal waste of public money, the stench of corruption around some PPE deals or his callous disregard for the truth - is bad enough.

The weird thing for me is that if this does bring him down, like Cummings and bitchcock, he will have been brought down by the least of his crimes. Dont get me wrong, its as stupid as it is despicable, but its not even close to being the worst act of his premiership

It's probably the most embarrassing to his party though. Also, i can't imagine many would want to take over during peak covid.

On the plus side, I’m working from home, so have just nipped downstairs to sit of front of the telly, scoff some sausage rolls and crisps, and pour myself a pint.

If the boss questions me, I will use the Johnson defence, that my whole home premises are a working environment, and I thought I was still working.
Me too mate, been doing it for a few years, love it. Haven't missed an office party throughout any of these lockdowns, mind you it's only me so it only means walking to the fridge and back so it's fine.

So to sum it up Boris has apologised for how the 'event' was perceived by everyone of us out there, a party, but he thinks they have done nothing wrong and were within the guidelines and the rules.
The fact that 100 people were there blows that excuse out of the water, the contempt he treats us with is shocking
