Current Affairs The next Tory (strong and stable) leader is Boris Johnson

It isn’t so much that he doesn’t cut through, he’s invisible to the audience he should be engaging with. He has nothing in common with the traditional or younger Labour voters. The wrong person at a time when there’s a continual open goal to attack.
If you're invisible you cant cut through.

For whatever reason he is ostracising the traditional base of the labour party.

I find this history washing from Cummings most unedifying given that he was both the architect of the leave campaign and the main advisor to Johnson. That he has clearly instigated something that was known to be [Poor language removed] and after all the time working alongside Johnson was not able to explain to him the reality of what that meant is hardly a ringing endorsement of the planet size intellect he seems to think he has.

I'm not sure he's really appealing to anyone tbh. Who he is seems always likely to work against him with red wall social conservatives (London constituency, lawyer, good hair, stilted mannerisms), and he seems determined to pretend that Brexit isn't a shitshow so is hardly appealing to city dwelling social liberals either.

Said it months ago Sir Keir is playing the long game and is letting the Tories self implode.

The baying metropolitan elite, woke mob and far left insurgents within the ranks who are desperate for a loud mouth Che Guevara wannabe like Corbyn will look very silly when we have our first Labour Election win in over a decade.

He's possibly the most naked emperor I've ever seen, saw the opportunity to blag a load of retrograde halfwit tories that he was a master strategist. He just manipulated decades of drip fed anti-EU sentiment coupled with malcontent at years of austerity. He channelled a backlash, nothing more.

In theory, yes. But I honestly think if an election was called tomorrow then the Tories would win it.

I agree that in theory the strategy for Labour is fine, but I just don't think it is a strategy and rather they're just... there while events are taking place. Or to be blunt, it's more a case of the Tories imploding than Starmer doing... well, anything.

Honest to God, is this the level we've now reached. lol
