Unfortunately, many of us don't deserve it. I cannot fathom why anyone would vote for this guy yet, it seems millions of people will including working class, single mums, BAME, teachers, nurses people with disabilities etc..............WTAF are they thinking?

The people who vote for him are protecting their own self interest. That's all. They don't care about the rest of society. It won't bother them that he's a deadbeat dad. If they're not concerned that the bloke comes across as not actually having a clue about anything then whether he looks after his kids won't make much difference. Instead they'll have a go at Corbyn to make themselves feel better and try their best not not appear to obviously as the self serving gobshites that they are.

Guy I work with said he votes Tory every election. His job is to help people with their disability benefit appeals after they’ve been turned down due to the utterly insane bureaucracy and working practices implemented by this Tory government. It’s a demeaning and demoralising process.

He tried telling me Corbyn was an habitual liar and started going on about Eu transparency. When he clearly has no idea of the internal mechanisms of the Eu and he’s voting for Johnson, the habitual liar. Got a fair idea where he’s getting his info from.

I can understand why people would vote Tory, but when you’re working in that industry, it makes absolutely no sense to me.

I've seen enough of this feller this election to see he's a puppet. Trundled about to say and do what others tell him to.

For some reason, before this election, I had at least some deluded view that he'd have a bit of charisma or panache to sell the Tory toxicity...but he cant even do that. He's appalling. An utter duffer who's out of his depth in every single situation I;ve seen him in. He makes May look competent and charismatic

The Tories have Brexit going for them, that's it. Nothing whatsover in terms of redeeming qualities: pathetic policies on all the major issues; a leader who's piss poor.

The serfs will roll up for them and hand them some sort of electoral win (my guess not enough to form a majority though)

Does he work for CAB, or a similar organisation? When you say disability benefits, is it Personal Independence payments or Employment Support? I have had similar experiences with some of my ex colleagues (albeit in a minority tbf) more interested in doing folk out of benefits (scrounger mentality) rather than helping them. Depressing.

Yeah CA. It’s mainly PIP MRs and appeals that he’ll be dealing with. He’ll know full well the absolute mess that is UC also. So he’ll be actively assisting some very vulnerable people. I don’t know anyone else working in that field who’d vote Tory so he’s a one off.
Just doesn’t make any sense.
I can understand how most people will be unaware of how absolutely screwed the benefits system has become due to Tory governance. Can also understand why it is not a primary concern for many, but people should take the time to read up on what’s happening as the fallout is going to be felt for a generation.

Yeah but 90 day detention without charge was and still is wrong and Corbyn and Johnson were both right to oppose it.

Also surprised he didn't say "get brexit done" though. Or maybe "oven ready".
