Tories will gain a majority. No **** Sherlock! The opinion polls can't all be wrong, can they? Unfortunately, after the Election as a nation, we are staring down the barrel of at least five to ten years of torturous negotiations to unravel us from the gigantic strands of EU bureaucracy that we are hopelessly entangled in. If you think the last few years have been embarrassing to our country you've seen nothing yet! Most reputable economists agree standards of living will drop significantly for most. I predict civil unrest to be honest. A clean break would probably be easier in the long term.
So why, no matter what facts are presented to them, are significant numbers of traditional Labour voters abandoning their roots and voting against their Historical allegiances?
Cos they have this thing in their head that the right thing to do is to enact the will of the people and just get it done! You know, DEMOCRACY! It disturbs me to the core that there seems to be no nuance in their thinking. It's an act of self-sabotage never seen before in History. They are unaware that they have handed the keys to the establishment to open the doors of exploitation that will draw every last drop left out of a free market economy.
Sure the EU was a globalist experiment. It has many faults. Just look at the alternative though. The plan is for a heavily deregulated capitalist's wet dream. London will be like Singapore on Steroids! What about the rest of us, especially all those northern provincial towns who salivated over the thought of independence? Yes, they got their voice and shouted, close our borders, close our borders! Blackpool, Burnley, Wigan, the list goes on...etc why did you do this to yourself?
Of course, the remedy would be to have a Labour Government who have today launched the most promising manifesto of hope since Nye Bevan's creation of the NHS in 1948. The North would, at last, receive the investment it deserves and could get on with building a brighter future. This wont happen though will it?
Essentially our country mostly leans to the right and its people suffer from greed, a social disease that will eventually finish us all off anyway. So tatty bye comrades.
