Current Affairs The Next PM is?

Unsure about Sunak. Thought some of his big calls during the pandemic were sound but he's been quite unimpressive since.

Having said that, it'd be a welcome thing if the next leader of this country was a person of colour.

Correct. Boris should have ditched him a year ago ……

It will bite him on the arse and will be justly deserved. If he doesn’t become PM his political career is over……,
Pete, this move is so Boris the only surprise is that it's Sunak.

Literally a party, or at least cabinet, full of untrustworthy little rat-snakes.

Which perhaps says much about Johnson as he choose them.

He's the richest man in parliament, he made his wealth from disaster capitalism. His wife is a none dom that doesn't pay tax. His slogan is "lets fix the economy" err who has been chancellor for three years Richi Rish? He also got a fine for party gate...He looks good in a suit but he's utterly hopeless, self interested and will institute austerity 2.0 if he gets a sniff.

I wasn't really trying to provoke this kind of unintelligent response, but I guess I should have seen it coming...

His wealth or his wife really aren't of interest to me, they're not why I'm unsure about him (aside from the obvious). The things that give me pause for concern was his conduct post-pandemic - I think his (relative) success during the pandemic either went to his head, or he simply got some big calls wrong. Neither are good signs.

Doesn't mean to say he isn't the best of a bad bunch though.

It doesn’t matter who it is now. They have broken themselves, and us, over Brexit.

They tried to be UKIP and “one nation” (levelling up) conservatives at the same time.

The internal Tory war will continue, until they decide which one they really want to be. Hopefully, they continue to eat themselves.

They don’t know what they stand for, other than they hate forrens and (or) people that aint rich.

They have stopped being the supporters of business and industry, that’s dirty stuff.

The likes of Mogg and Johnson have taken them down a rabbit hole, from which there are no easy exits.

Burn baby burn !
