Chris Rea was a decent guy. Bernie Wenton (Won Stars in their eyes as Nat King Cole) and his brother Willy, were backing singers for Chris. They toured with him and appeared in a number of his videos. One time, years later, when Chris was playing in Liverpool, a note was passed to him telling him that Bernie Wenton was in a serious way (Cancer) After the show Chris made his way to Bernie's house and spent the night sitting with him and chatting over old memories. Bernie passed away a few days later.

R.I.P Chris, rest well.
