Still going to support them. Still my team through thin and thinner. Can understand where you are coming from though

I'll never not support them but right now I want nothing to do with it. It pisses me off further that the club manager and captain get it so wrong with their after-match comments. I want them both out of the club asap

For me mate its about understanding your audience or environment , you don't tell bawdy jokes at funerals , you don't ridicule your mates infront of non friends or whatever . It was a bad weekend and we're hurt by the managers position maybe pick your words a little more carefully you know ? Honestly I'm not the type to react and things can look different in context but if your bird is upset you don't say "yeah but at least I'm not out shagging strange evey night am I ? I mean you aren't looking your best lately are you ?" Even if that was true

I agree in a way, but this is what happens when the club wheels out players in front of the the TV cameras to perform damage limitation - I can scarcely remember an interview with a footballer that wasn't dull and full of cliché's - they talk complete bollocks.

In other words we'll probably beat Man City or play well and get a draw and then draw or lose to Stoke when we could have closed the gap. But to be honest, I like the way Neville has not given up on top 4. Just hate his top 10 comment, which is obviously the line the higher ups at the club want to push at a time like this (Moyes inspired)

The trend is set on this era though. Looking back the only time they really had the bit between their teeth and looked like they could keep a date with destiny was in the 2009 cup run. Apart from that it's been a succession of half seasons here and there where promise of a better mentality was shown.

Moyes can only do so much, IMO. He's done a decent job as it goes but he's incapable of getting a full campaign out of players and inspiring them on the big occasion.

It's nothing to do with us being skint. Moyes had Hitzelberger or Barkely to play in centre mid. Either way once it was clear Neville was being raped then Moyes should have changed it. Then the prick comes out with "good to be in the top 10" crap.

I never mentioned Moyes' decision, I said it wasn't Neville's fault that he's still needed at the club.

To be honest, I'm more surprised at how many of you are shocked that this is how our season has turned out. Never expected anything more from our aging squad.

"It was more than disappointing," he (Neville) said.

"It was a disastrous weekend for us. It was a disastrous performance and there is no hiding away from that.

"I was embarrassed with my own performance, it wasn't good enough as captain.

"We can't hide from that. We take our medicine now and take the criticism that comes our way."

If we can find a better player for the long term I'll be happy to see Neville retire, but until we can find a utility player similar to Neville I'm afraid we're stuck with him - it's not really Neville's fault that we're skint.

utility player? what, proficient at being crap at every single position?

He's not very good at knowing what to say. He tries to come out with what he thinks he's supposed to say rather than his own thoughts, does it with everything.
