Mate I'm not a knee jerk fan and its not faux outrage I'm just fed up of it , Im amongst the calmest & politest posters you'll find . I saw us when we were , by some distance , the best club in the country and we have a manager that said there was 'nothing he could do ' and a captain that says "A CLUB LIKE EVERTON" and you think that's ok ?

I'm not defending him, I just think after a defeat people prepare themselves to be outraged about anything and everything less popular players say - they're footballers, if you stick them in front of a camera they're going to talk bollocks.

I think the outrage is all too real

And this sort of thing isn't about change. It's about venting frustration here so we don't do it elsewhere (taking it out on friends, colleagues, families etc)

I can understand outrage that season tickets sales get pushed forward every year, I can understand outrage that we have to sell before we can buy every season and I can understand outrage about the direction this club is heading - but outraged because a player said something we didn't want to hear on TV? Nah.

Have you any idea how condescending that sounds?

It wasn't just any old defeat. And he wasn't an innocent bystander.

And yes I think most people on here are fully conscious that our opinions don't count one jot.

It's not condescending, it's an observation, I'm the same most of the time.

I'm well aware of that.

Indeed.

It's more than that though really

It's the captain basically saying we're a no mark team lucky to be in the top 10th, on TV, after we got mullered by a team in the relgation zone, when it's becoming less likely we'll finish in the top 6 let alone the top 4.

So yeah, it's more than that

Outrage? Not really. Depression that it's confirmed what we all knew: those players and manager down there think we're a mediocre club. It's no wonder we win **** all with these 'heroes' running round is it?

I cant believe he scowled at fans last month who dared to boo a decision by the manager. As someone said on a phone in the other day: "this feller might be a good pro and gets to bed early and eats bananas, but he's not an Everton player".

He was bang on the money too.

[Poor language removed] off and eat your kit kats you bad bellend Neville. Stop pissing off the fans who pay for your ****ing blonde highlights you manc sh*thouse.
