Nothing against the kid but this is just propaganda spouting rubbish and insulting our intelligence.

I’d rather the players just do the talking on the pitch as they can never say what they really think. It Just looks silly.

Just my opinion lads.

Pretty much 99% of what players say through official channels?

Eat. Apple. Letterbox.
Joel's got competition.

Talking to the press is part of their job and they have to do it. What is he supposed to say? 'I hate Allardyce, he's a stupid fat idiot and he makes me pass the ball back into my own half all the time and I'd rather play for Chelsea'?

So you think he’s misleading us maybe? Saying things he’s being told to say even though it may not be fully true..?

Seems like we agree on the actual truth that the lad can’t say..

No, I don't. I'm just saying I don't get why Everton fans always complain about players talking to the press. Every time Jags / Rooney / Pickford / whoever talks to the press, especially when we're in a bad patch, fans will say, "Shut up and play, less talk, more action." It is a part of their job, whether you like it or not. Journalists talk to them. They have to come out with answers. They can't refuse to talk to the press until we start racking up points, which is what I think a lot of fans want them to do.

Is what it is eh. My point was quotes from players are all the same.

I agree Danny, I was probably a bit tin foil hat with the propaganda statement.

As far as I recall i’ve never showed hatred towards any Everton player, (bemusement maybe) so like many others I do want to support them.

I’d love to see their point of view. I think there’s an angle to this that swerves the politics the players are trying to avoid.

If Kenny could run me through his 90 minutes of a game he could avoid all the politics with the current “Media training” and give an insight to the game by simply describing what happened.

Connecting fans with footballers instead of just names by showing us what we don’t see, in a positive light. Maybe it’s be easier to get behind them a bit.

I wouldn’t be arsed if it was a Roy of the rovers style cartoon featuring Cuco Martina’s crisis of confidence in his current left back woes. Anything to help us all feel better. (Ok I would).

No doubt it’s hopeful at best, but I would read it and it would probably fascinate me haha.
