There are private hospitals, who are not part of the NHS, they are completely separate with their own staff. I could just have easily flown to the USA and used hospitals over there. They take nothing away from the NHS. So using them relieves pressure on the NHS. Your attitude shows a complete lack of understanding and a bigoted view of life......

Devils' advocate: I work in a hospital and we have consultants who do both. They work here, which is an NHS hospital, and at private ones like the Alex or the Spire, they haven't completely given up on the NHS.
Btw, Everton players also use the NHS.

Bully for you. A lot of us can't afford that. I know I can't. i work two jobs and still couldn't afford it, and doing the odd bit of cam whoring hasn't made me that much money either.

Of course I would, and the taxes I pay should ensure that I get seen to. However, if I wish to spend my time recuperating in a private hospital, then it frees up an NHS bed and also gives me what I want, and I pay for it, so what’s the problem.....
