Utterly baffled here. Got 63% for an assignment I thought I did absolutely awful in, yet my mate who is much harder working than me got 52%.

I always look back at my uni times and think 'yeh if i tried i could have easily gotten a first'. But the fact is i didn't, and I'm okay with it. Its the actual trying part which is a pain in the arse.

As long as I get a 2:1 then I'm happy. Got plenty of building site experience that the book worms in my class don't have too.

Good stuff mate. It's graduate schemes that worry me. I don't want to do one but it's looking increasingly likely that it's the best option and you need a 2:1 at least. Can't be arsed with more exams and that though.

You know more about them than I do already, haha! I didn't think of that but you're probably right. If I could get with one of the major construction companies, such as Keir or Balfour Beatty then I wouldn't be bothered as there's a lot of opportunity to work abroad. I just don't like the idea of being tied down but I'm probably being unreasonable.
