Facebook, if used in the right way, is a great tool.

Sadly, it is used by a load of meffs who need defining because they are not satisfied with their own lives

A bloke at work has , I think, 280+ FB "friends". I bet he only really knows about 12 of them . One of my nieces had a ridiculous number. About 90% she didn't know , or will ever meet.

I laugh at people who have 3k 'friends'.

i only really use the facebooks to find old school friends, get back in touch etc. and to talk to friends if my phone is too far away to text. also like sharing funny images with others through private messaging...and i use it for facebook poker.
i know some really sad ass people out there though, one guy (who is still in denial that he is not gay despite having no guy friends and only female ones) who now does a nursing course and i originally met him on an IT course :S literally posts pics of every time he goes out to town, including like 20 pics all from different angles, in a mirror, of his outfit. i would delete him, but some of the things he posts are ****ing priceless to laugh at and provide some great entertainment due to his massively sad life.soceity these days sucks, love technology and all, but would much rather live like forest gump through the ages of 60's, 70's and 80's.

Lad i know went on holiday to Ibiza and according to his mates who went with him he spent the whole time on Facebook.

That's where society is at now, people don't actually go out, or meet friends, or go on holiday for the experience. They go so that they can talk about it or post pictures on Facebook and make them feel like they're worth something.

F**king sad really.

This post has nailed it, brilliantly put Brenz. I use FB a lot too, but not for the attention, just for a laugh really, but a lot of my mates really do post something just to make em "famous" to their mates or something.
