That there is everything wrong with society today. The lad at the end, well the character he is describing, with the hood and shirt on, is like the son of a banker, or someone whose Dad bought them a BMV when they were 17

The shirt one is bad, but the hoodie one makes me fume when i see hordes of the c**ts walking around Liverpool One looking like bad Batman rejects.

The shirt one just shows 'men' up for being utter tits who don't have basic idea how to dress like a man.

The 'uploading to facebook' thing is so so true. I hate social media for that

Lad i know went on holiday to Ibiza and according to his mates who went with him he spent the whole time on Facebook.

That's where society is at now, people don't actually go out, or meet friends, or go on holiday for the experience. They go so that they can talk about it or post pictures on Facebook and make them feel like they're worth something.

F**king sad really.

just got back from brizzle and just read through the last couple of days, missed some proper boss shows. really wanna watch team america now, and it seems my ideas of discussing wether niki minak is hot or not has already been discussed :( IMO, i can't decided whether she looks more like a fish or a frog, honestly can't decide.

I LOVE THE LATE SHOW!

Yeh, I mean don't get me wrong, I spend a lot of time on here and on the net, but I have a life, I go the match, I go out and have a bevvy, I forget about it all.

That lad you're on about there are loads of them, if affects women badly to. The motivation to get pictures on facebook, I don't get it. I have Everton away day pictures, but they are more for memory, I don't go the match just to put it on FB after.

It is bad, and some people need a slap, it is a very 'look at me' world we live in now sadly

People do seem to stress the importance of photographing everything now. As you say, it's so they can put it on facebook so their existence can be reaffirmed.

On the flipside, I do wish I'd had facebook in my younger days (and camera phones). Most of my life pre-internet has vanished in the mists of time time and memory.

The only photos I've put on FB ( recently deleted my account ) were of my youngest lads first match last season. Though people do post pics of EVERYTHING their little darlings do.No matter how banal they are.

That's also a good thing though.

Now silly things you do as a youngster can get preserved.

I'll be the first to admit, I'm on facebook alot but that mostly stems from working away on my own loads.

I'm on here more. Which is good in a casually homosexual, melted cheese on hot bread kinda way.

Going to get a bit nerdy and post something that relates to the whole internet/social media thing we're talking about. It's an article by a guy who a couple of months ago decided he was going to quit the internet for a year. I mean completely quit, no access to it at all other than providing a text file to people to upload his blog about the experience to the web. Anyway this one blog in particular relates to the social media aspect, thought some of you might find it interesting:

PROPER NERD ME LAD I READ ABOUT TECH AND STUFF AND IM GINGER FFS.

P.S The rest of his articles on the subject cover a lot of different things relating to living without the net, some pretty funny and insightful experiences, you can select them on the right hand side of the page.
