Anyone been to play football in Thornton? Some nice pitches there, just got back from playing footy. F****d now like.

I play at Goals in Netherton, the one at Thornton is similar isnt it?

Been past that on the way to the one in Thornton, looks similar the way I saw it. Never been there though.

Played at Goals Speke over the summer, just mates but a good competitive game. Some of the teams in the league looked ruthless. That's why the grassroots game is dying out. Why do people want to spend your Saturday or Sunday morning getting abused physically and verbally by a big, hard, miserable [Poor language removed]?

I fell over on it the other day and bounced off the ground. Years ago I would of had a nice astro turf friction burn. SO much better now, the ball has a true bounce as well

Exactly this.

Couple of years ago at play football you used to get thousands of black bits in yer shoes, now you hjardly find them after you've played footy. Massively improved recently.
