In your ridiculous extremist eyes, they literally couldn't win then. They are racist no matter what.

The applaud an anti-racist message; they're still racists.

Joke.

There’s no extremism. Stop casting everyone who doesn’t agree with your narrow world view as extremism. Were they applauding anti-racism or were they applauding their players not taking a knee? Presumably you’re disgusted by the black power salutes you saw

My narrow world view.

My one.

Right.

Well, there it is - the most ironic thing I'll ever read.

Ah another classic trope of yours. You are suggesting that people who are fine the knee are extremist. It’s a pretty narrow world view to come up with that. But let’s hear once again how Tubey donates anything he fancies as far left

No one to blame but themselves for getting painted into that corner. If they could have simply sat quietly for three seconds this past Saturday, then none of this becomes an issue. The bar for not being perceived as racist here is almost impossibly low. Yet Millwall fans still managed to trip over it and fall flat on their face even though all that was required was for them to not aggressively act like dickheads.

No I think extremist views are extremist. Left and right.

You only see anything to the right as extremist.

Therein lies the difference. And the irony - your world view is as narrow as it gets.

But that's not true, ya silly goose. I just don't think the politics of Michael Keane, when he takes the knee, are that extreme.

Defunding the police, abolishing prisons, defacing statues, advocating anarchy, these are all extremist views and associated with that gesture.

The Millwall fans booed it.

They applauded a purely anti-racism message, because it wasn't tied in with that nonsense.

These are the facts. If you put away outrageous political bias, this is obvious stuff.

You can't call people racist if they applaud an anti-racist message. If they were racists, they wouldn't applaud an anti-racist initiative, and they'd be monkey chanting every week and mocking Kick It Out for the last decade plus.

Instead, because of your bias, it was easier to believe 2,000 people turned up and were mad racists. That's on you.

I'm not sure anyone genuinely things that when Premier League footballers take the knee this is what they think. If they do, they are at least idiots.

It's not outrageous political bias to think Man Utd don't spend every weekend promoting Marxism before the kick off of a Premier League match sponsored by Chevrolet and DHL.

You can call them at least sly if they've spent a lot of time on football forums saying how they've got to not be racist this evening.

I've said around 100 times now you can't disassociate the gesture from the underlying meaning.

It doesn't matter what the think; it's what it means. Just as Guardiola can't say a yellow ribbon for Catalan independence is "just about democracy" and the Quenelle is "just about supporting a mate".

Neat. You can say it 100 more and it still won’t mean you’re right.

You’re right, and in the same way I’m sure you agree you just can’t disassociate booing people taking the knee form a properly racist gesture

I can say it once and be right.

Go and give a middle finger to a police officer and try and explain to them it means "peace" and tell me how you get on.
You’re claiming that any time a person takes a knee for any reason, they are advocating for defunding the police and anarchy. Just because BLM has chosen to use taking a knee as a symbol of protest, now it’s somehow off limits to everyone else for all of time? It’s not like they were the first to use it.

You think the V sign means peace? Try holding a cigarette in the middle and go to a lung cancer ward and see how that goes down

No, they corrupted it. Football chose to have the gesture specifically in support of Black Lives Matter - they emblazoned it on the shirts.

The gesture is now irrevocably tied in to support for BLM.

It's a delusion to suggest anything other than that. Just because you want to be able to separate the gesture from the context, it doesn't matter, because it's literally impossible.

Churchill wanted this to be V for Victory.

He quickly learned what it meant, and it changed, because obviously he bloody did.

This isn't some mad opinion of mine; it's fact. Symbolism is real, it exists.
