Is Corbyn still insisting he never met with IRA types?

No he isn't'. As you well know he met Adam's and McGuiness many times and shared many a platform with people who were deemed 'terrorists' including those in the ANC's armed wing. There were many many people who shook hands with 'IRA types' including the pope, the queen and the president of the US. They even shook hands with Mandela, the number one advocate of the armed struggle against apartheid South Africa, including bombings and shootings.

As usual, regarding 'Corbyn and the IRA', there is nothing to see here.

I find this whole right wing media obsession with the IRA a bit two faced as it seems to ignore the part that Britain played in the troubles, there was bad on both sides. The vilification of the IRA and it's supporters is entirely justified but it seems like Bloody Sunday has been airbrushed from British history which is just as abhorrent.

In the 1980s, as you well know, Thatcher shook hands with Mujahadeen member Abdul Haq, who planted a bomb that killed 28 people. Thatcher also invited another Mujahadeen 'freedom fighter' (her words), who was responsible for throwing acid in a women's face. Thatcher went to the Pakistan/Afghan border and addressed the Mujahadeen and told them, 'the hearts of the free world are with you and that 'we in Britain will support you in every way we can'.

The Mujahadeen, as you well know was the creation of Saudi Arabian Bin Laden to lead the fight against the Afghan Socialist government. Armed and supported by the US and the UK. Al Qaeda, as you well know was born out of the Mujahadeen.

Here she is shaking hands with someone who ordered a bombing which left 91 people dead, 29 of them British:

... and who later allegedly sold weapons to the Argentinians during the Falklands War.

edit: I should point out that she was right to - Begin was the PM of Israel at the time.

It is just absurd to criticize Corbyn for speaking to, or in this latest nonsense being present when a wreath was laid on someone's grave, and saying he is a terrorist sympathiser and should be hated because of it when Government policy (much of it Tory) down the years has done vastly more damage to us than floral tributes ever will.

Pinochet was another (her words) "true friend" of Thatcher.

Pinochet's crimes against humanity (state sponsored torture, sexual abuse, institutionalised terrorism) were absolutely sickening.

Here she is
Also, that isn't Corbyn. The photo is of the funeral of Bobby Sands (in 1981), Corbyn wasn't an MP at that time.

Oh dear. Poor Dan the man. Of course, just because has wasn't an MP does not mean he didn't attend Bobby Sands funeral. There were a lot of people who went to Belfast for the funeral. MI5 would have known the whereabouts of Corbyn at the time, as he was very active in the London political and trade union scene. He may be asked about this tonight. But that doesn't distract from the vicious propaganda campaign against Corbyn.
