The town centre is an absolute hole because the council have been in the pockets of chancers. Half the buildings built over the last ten years will soon be abandoned as the people that built them will be in jail.

Something drastic needs to happen and if that means the tories coming in then so be it.

Which buildings are these mate, and who are the "chancers" to whom you refer? Big business leaders? Property "developers?"

Elliot lawless, signature living.

There’s a massive project on Leeds street half built due to it being stopped because of its links to corruption. A massive piece of land as you enter town, just a massive wasteland now.

As the article in the telegraph suggest, corruption is something that goes right to the very top.

I’m not happy the tories are having to come in but ten years of a Labour council really hasn’t improved anything, from what I can see.

It’s the Wild West of property developing.

Does seem odd that Lawless is around 32 years old and up until a few years ago was a plumber. Next minute hes building 15 high rise buildings across the city. Just googling his business and the first headline is:

Elliot Lawless paid £925,000 for city centre site that was 'worth £5.67m' three years later

Signature Living are known for having a very poor reputation with foreign investors and clearly don't really have any money. Some of their developments seem to take about 10 years.
 
Look into any council in the country and you'll find corruption to some degree. This is a politically motivated attack.

The Tories are only too willing to step in and impose what they see as 'best value' in the running of council finances...which is short hand for more privatisation. It should sicken any member of the Labour Party that their leadership are holding the Tory's coats for them as they step in to do that.

Dave don’t always agree with you but on this you’re spot on.

This government is moving without any worry of ever being reprimanded, that general election win has created a even bigger monster.

Already seeing signs of them throwing their power around.

They'll inteevene at any council they want in order to deepen their political control over the country. They have national politics wrapped up and they're drilling down into localities - especially LP run authorities - in order to consolidate their breakthrough in the last election in Labour areas.

How people cant see this is unbelievable. Maybe they dont want to see it because they're Tories / closet Tories or they prefer to settle scores with individuals in the council rather than see local democracy?

He's 'kin rubbish and getting hammered in the polls while Johnson has killed 126,000 people, and she pays the price for it.

What a class act.

I hope Labour get absolutely 'kin pumped at the local elections.
