What is wrong with backing the police and the army, mate?

A high percentage of the army, that majority of working-class lads will be Labour (not Corbyns hijack). Same for the police, those UNISON members that form a part of what is Labour with the likes of Starmer & co, who understand this.
It's what they got up to when in service, not the fact they were who they were.

No, it wasn't about presentation. He covered up the assassination of Menezes and he covered up torture by the British Army, and he found in favour of coppers going undercover and setting up dual existances which destroy people's lives (Stone/Kennedy affair). It's hard to spin that.

He didn’t cover up anything. He found against pursuing prosecutions under advisement. They are very different things. I don’t support him in his actions but I’m also not going to play stupid games with it.

How difficult is it to define who you are and what you're party is going to try and do in power to change the country we live in?

Are you saying that the LP cant look at anything other than what its next repsonse is to the government's Covid19 strategy?
Q) How difficult is it to define who you are...etc??
A)
Very, or so it appears, especially if all all there is is Covid, where is your point of difference - especially if the Govt has more scientific resources(?) to base their decisions on (that those decisions maybe wrong is another debate)
And more to the point - 80 odd votes to force them through with.

What we have here is an unofficial quasi wartime / national emergency coalition ( but with a conservative majority)
Johnson (and Cummins) being those 'last refuge scoundrels' that they are will not hesitate to play the patriotism card if they feel the need.
So Starmer has to be seen as not rocking the boat too much.
Over the next 3.5yrs points of difference will present themselves ( see McMillians quote on 'events') and its up to Labour to seize them and use them as electoral sticks to beat (in both senses of the word) the tories...I say tory, because Johnson may not be in charge in 3 yrs.

I'd suggest it is more to do with the fact that Corbyn and his entryist team have been booted out by traditional Labour that you have an issue with. I don't believe that you have an issue with the army and police.

You have no idea who 'traditional Labour' are. You were no doubt weaned on the Blairist version of Labour - the neo-liberal faction that infested the party form the 1980s.

You probably think clause 4 is a new ruling by the Premier League.

I have a very clear understanding, and of entryists too ;)
