I've seen Abbott being interviewed a couple of times over the last week and not being in the shadow cabinet any more seems to have given her a new lease of life.

I'm not a massive fan of her as a politician, but she looked, and sounded healthier than she has done for a few years.

Whats everyones opinion on Starmer so far then?

Cant say I've seen much of him so lads on here will know better- is he the new Blair we have all longed for or is he looking like another busted flush?

She is a very good constituent MP, her numbers reflect this and nothing wrong in that. Always, thought she was better at being the dissenting voice within. Which any serious political party needs, the robust debate within.

Don’t think anyone has been longing for the next Tony Blair. Did more damage than good in the long run and nobody knew what the labour part stood for towards the end of his tenure.

I like starmer. He was the stand out candidate and is a nice blend of socialist values and modern day policies that should appeal to a wide spectrum of voters, which is what labour need after the Corbyn echo chamber.
