Where would more democracy leave democracy?

I don't know.

If I had cake, and then more cake - I guess the situation concerning cake would be positive.

The problem is that the country is already split, you can see it on here. We had a vote, our democracy, like it or not, is to respect the vote. If we had another vote and Leave won again, the Remainers would want another one, and if Remain won, the Leavers would definitely want another one, and the country would remain divided. We need to move on and we need the Remainers to stop all the nonsense regarding another vote as it has just become a distraction and is helping the EU in our negotiations......

No. Because people would (should) understand what they are actually voting for. If leave won I would be done trying to waste my time and energy worrying about it thereafter.

is helping the EU in our negotiations.....

This part is true. The EU will not budge from their position now probably safe in the knowledge that it is likely to go back to the public if it is a bad or no deal.

I went on the Beeb this morning and saw something about a Labour MP calling for a general strike. I thought it was editorialised, so watching it was a pleasant surprise.

It certainly is an interesting idea.
Crewe’s my main market town. Not spending a penny there until she’s removed from office. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

The Labour Party seemingly wants to completely cripple the country so they get their turn. It’s a ludicrous argument.

The country is already crippled, mate.

But anyway, I don't think it's a decision the Party can make.

However, if a number of trade congresses believe that current situation untenable and its members vote for a general strike - then I would like to see the Labour Party support that decision.

It isn’t. It’s functioning just fine, the political situation is a mess granted, but in terms of actually being able to being able to do day to day basics the country is working. It isn’t like life on the whole is a struggle for the majority.

Start striking and we’re just putting ourselves in a hole for no reason. Strike action by the likes of Northern Rail because of poor working conditions is absolutely understandable. Everyone downing tools because Labour think they have a divine right to govern is not.

Well, if the Labour Party doesn't fight for democratic control, then it has failed in its founding goal.

As for the "functioning just fine" comment:
